Furtherance of Golf

The Furtherance of Golf is one of the key pillars of the Nomads organisation. Over the last 12 months, Easterns Nomads has been in the fortunate position to be able to assist in the following way.

*  Provided sponsorship to the Ekurhuleni Interprovincial Primary Schools Tournament.
*  Held our Fellowship Day, contributing Green Fees and Prizes to the day.
*  Provided sponsorship for uniforms for the Ekurhuleni Senior Ladies IPT Team.
*  Sponsored Prizes for the Ekurhuleni Senior Ladies Open.
*  Contributed to the Bridge reconstruction at the 5 th hole at Reading Country Club.
*  Committed to assisting The Nomads Interprovincial Primary Schools Tournament and the Nomads Interprovincial Schools Final to be held in
December 2025

Further to this, Easterns Nomads has made a three-year commitment to the Ekurhuleni Golf Union to support their SAGDB Development Program, which has the following objective.

To establish a sustainable, high-impact golf development program for SAGDB players within the Ekurhuleni region, backed by Eastern Nomads sponsorship, with the following goals:

– Provide competitive opportunities through monthly development tournaments
– Track progress via a running Order of Merit (OoM)
– Select a top 8-player Ekurhuleni SAGDB Squad annually
– Fully kit and prepare the squad for the Development Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT)
